Onboarding vendors to the marketplace took 6 weeks and invoicing was manual. Adding new vendors was not scalable.

The Solution

I integrated API-based software (Logicbroker) with FlexShoppers custom applications, standardizing operations, merchandising, and accounting processes (order processing, invoicing, product data management).

Logicbroker Marketplace Integration

Onboarding wholesalers and retailers to the digital marketplace was slow and inefficient. The merchandising team relied on manual processes that took hours, and getting products online could take weeks due to limited development capacity. Logicbroker was selected as the integration solution to connect with FlexShopper’s custom applications, marking the company’s largest integration project at the time.

  • My Role: Elicited requirements from operations, accounting, and marketing teams; facilitated cross-departmental workshops; and proposed solutions for gaps that Logicbroker could not address.
  • Challenges: Created detailed process documentation and an architectural diagram to demonstrate how Logicbroker would integrate. Designed custom integrations for major retailers unable to use standard onboarding flows.
  • Results/Impact: Reduced onboarding time from several weeks to 2 weeks (contract signed to products live). Standardized invoices, enabling NetSuite to automate wholesaler and retailer payments. Streamlined product data enrichment and minimized merchandising tasks.
  • Reflection: Strengthened ability to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities while delivering solutions aligned with business goals. Enhanced process modeling and cross-team collaboration skills.
Designed and Implemented Custom Rebate App to Streamline Back-end Promotions

Rebate Management App to Streamline Promotions

Rebate setup was slow and error-prone, requiring manual validation across multiple teams. The process delayed vendor promotion launches and introduced risks of misconfiguration.

  • My Role: Led business analysis efforts to design a custom rebate management application with a user interface for the merchandising team. Facilitated cross-functional workshops with developers, designers, and merchandising stakeholders to define use cases and required functionality. Delivered user stories covering all possible UI actions and mapped example rebate criteria for both the front-end interface and back-end logic.
  • Challenges: Needed to support complex rebate criteria setup (UI rules, validation, change control). Ensured SKU validation and error logging met developer requirements. Balanced merchandising UI needs with system functionality beyond rebate generation.
  • Results/Impact: Reduced rebate setup time for merchandising team from 1 week to 1 day; accelerated rebate program scaling allowing for more rebate programs.
  • Reflection: Strengthened ability to balance stakeholder usability requirements with technical system constraints, ensuring that both business and development needs were met.
New Revenue Channel via Catalog-as-a-Service

Opened a new recurring revenue channel by automating partner catalog syndication with revenue-share invoicing.

The Challenge

FlexShopper needed new recurring revenue streams while ensuring accurate accounting and vendor policies.

The Solution

Enabled catalog syndication to merchant partner sites with a new CaaS model and lender data integrations.

The Impact

Opened a new recurring revenue channel through automated product catalog syndication with revenue share.

New Revenue Channel via Catalog-as-a-Service (CaaS)

FlexShopper needed new recurring revenue streams while ensuring accurate accounting and compliance with vendor policies. The company also required a way to syndicate its product catalog to merchant partner sites under a revenue-share model.

  • My Role: Led both business analysis and project management efforts to enable catalog syndication. Gathered and defined requirements by leveraging expertise in accounting workflows and custom CaaS applications. Collaborated with development and accounting teams to design a process model and build a back-end automated invoicing system that captured revenue from third-party merchant sites.
  • Challenges: Designed revenue share processes to handle all return scenarios by vendor policy, payment method, and profitability tied to lease origination date. Ensured the system could scale across partners while maintaining accounting accuracy.
  • Results/Impact: Opened a new recurring revenue channel by enabling automated product catalog syndication to partner merchant sites under a revenue-share model. Established automated invoicing flows tied directly to partner transactions.
  • Reflection: Strengthened ability to design solutions at the intersection of business goals, accounting integrity, and partner integrations. Enhanced skills in mapping complex financial workflows into scalable, system-driven processes.
